Nine-year-old Santhul Wijeyarathne became the youngest member of the Sanath Jayasuriya Cricket Academy to ever score a century.

He remained unbeaten at the end of the innings in a victory over Colts Cricket Club in an Under-12 Limited Overs match played at St. Thomas’ College, Kotte, on 10th June.

The young left-handed batsman from Nalanda College Colombo put on a show with 16 scintillating boundaries in his knock. He stroked the ball to all-parts of the ground, as the spectators watched in amazement.

Not just the batting, it was an all-round performance by Santhul, who dazzled with the ball earlier in the day as he snapped up three quick wickets along with his teammate Sandul who also picked up 3 wickets helping him in the process. Rachintha De Silva chipped in with 2 wickets alongside Dimath and Lelum who bagged a wicket each. Arosha (39) and Nihandu (32) were the top scorers for Colts who scored 133 in 30 overs.
