Richmond, one of the top teams in D1, have failed to impress so far this season. But they collected much needed points in their match against Anuradhapura Central. Anuradhapura Central won the toss and put the home side in to bat first. Richmond College posted a formidable 1st innings total of 309 for the loss of 9 wickets before they asked the visitors to bat. Thaveesha Abishek made an unbeaten 124 putting the home side into a demanding position.
After a dominant batting performance, Avindu Theekshana’s 11-wicket match bag with the ball, made sure that they gained full points from the match.
