Sangakkara – the Sri Lankan Lion Prince attends Harmony In Cricket Clinic in Melbourne

Melbourne’s south eastern junior cricketers were treated a rare opportunity when former Sri Lankan captain Kumar Sangakkara headlined a free clinic in January.

 

The event was presented by the Young Cricketer’s Development Program in association with the Harmony in Cricket Program. Sangakkara was joined by Commonwealth Bank Bushranger Clive Rose and Vic Spirit player Brianna Binch. 64 boys and girls took part in the day, participating in a series of drills and games.

The event was organised by Harmony in Cricket Ambassadors, Kevin Tissera and Harry Fernando while a special thanks must go to Vernon Tissera, Annie Hately, Aaron Dragwidge and Aravinda Uduwawela,Johann Jayasinha all the staff at Cricket Victoria as well as many other people.

The Young Cricketer’s are a non-for-profit organisation invested in developing young cricketers by giving them opportunities to train with leading coaches, as well as tour overseas.
