Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has confirmed that Sanath Jayasuriya will continue as the Interim Head Coach of the National Men’s Cricket Team for the upcoming Test series against New Zealand.
Jayasuriya was appointed as the head coach of the national team in interim basis in July following the resignation of Chris Silverwood.

Under Jayasuriya, Sri Lanka registered a historic ODI series win over India where the islanders beat them after 27 years.
Even though, Sri Lanka lost the Test series against England 2-1, they managed to beat England in a Test match on English soil after 10 years during Jayasuriya’s second assignment as head coach.

The two-match Test series between Sri Lanka and New Zealand will be played from 18th to 30th September at Galle International Cricket Stadium.
