The junior selectors have named all-rounder Sammu Ashan as the captain of the Sri Lanka under 19 team against Pakistan under 19s for the 4th youth ODI scheduled on 23rd October at SSC grounds.
This will be the first instance where the Anandian will lead Sri Lanka under 19s.
Regular skipper, Richmondite Charith Asalanka has been rested from the team to give more chances to the fringe players and show their abilities. Kamindu Mendis also from Richmond College will most probably take Charith’s place in the team.
Fast-bowler from Debarawewa Maha Vidyalaya, Udith Madushan has been called up to the squad for the first time in place of Josephian seamer, Jehan Daniel.
