With the Royal-Thomian Battle of the Blues encounter being postponed by a day, the Schools’ Rugby League game between S Thomas’ and St Joseph’s has been rescheduled for Monday, 12th of March. Originally the Joes were scheduled to play S. Thomas’ on Sunday, 11th of March.
The Thomians and the Josephians will kick off their League title bid with the Lady Jayathilake Trophy which the Josephians managed to win last time around.
The Royal-Thomas big match was postponed due the passing away of Venerable Daranagama Kusaladhamma Thero’s funeral which will take place on the 8th of March, the original date for the Royal-Thomian to begin.
Now the Big match will be played on the 9th, 10th and 11th while the S. Thomas vs St. Joseph’s rugby fixture will be played on the 12th Monday at Havelock Park kicking off at 4pm.
