Royal U14s victorious, Wesley U16s hold on for a draw

Royal U14 came out on top against Wesley College while the U16’s played out a draw at the CR&FC grounds, Colombo.

The U14 match was dominated by the Royal youngsters as they ended the first half getting 2 tries, successfully converting 1, ending the first half at 12-0 to Royal.

The Wesley juniors could not respond in the second half as the Royal youngsters continued on the front foot adding one more try in the second half before the referee blew for full time.

The U16 match was a much more even affair, as both teams went for it from kick off, but neither team was able to get the breakthrough in the first half as half time came with the scores 0-0.

The second half however produced some thrilling moments as Wesley was awarded a penalty and decided to go for the 3 points and successfully did so finally taking the lead.

However the drama did not end there as a while later it was Royal who was awarded a penalty and decided to go for the penalty, again successfully, equalling the scores before the referee blew for full time.
