After going down in the first leg by a slender 5 point margin, the Royal College juniors came back with vengeance to out class Trinity 16 points to nil and take home the “Simithrachchi trophy in the 2nd leg that was worked off today at the Royal Sports Complex.

Royal collected their points from 1 goal and 3 penalties while managing to subdue their opponents throughout the game which was played under muddy ground conditions.
The Royal under 18 team managed to write off their 1st leg deficit of 5 points early in the first half when they were awarded a penalty try which was later converted.
Just before the break, Royal extended their lead putting over a penalty to give them 10 point lead in the game.
The 2nd half saw the Royalists coming close to scoring on quite a few occasions but could not manage to add the finishing touches. However the winners put over 2 penalties in the 2nd half giving them a 16-05 aggregate win in the end.
Trinity will have to give back their under 18 trophy that they won last year under the captaincy of Akith Sakalasooriya as the Reid Avenue lads successfully completed a clean sweep in the 73rd Bradby Shield Encounter.
