Former Royal college 1st XV skipper Nikhil Gunadeera has been appointed the skipper of the Sri Lanka Under 19 team that will represent the country at the Junior Rugby ASIAD to be held in Malaysia from the 9th to 17th of December. Former Isipathana skipper Kushan Indunil will be Nikhil’s deputy in Malaysia.
The squad has been pruned to 28 players from the initial 32 by the national selectors. 25 players will be included in the touring squad with 03 players left behind as stand-by players . The final touring squad is expected to be announced next week and the team will leave the Island on the 09th of December.
