A fresh start, a new time for new hope, to face new challenges and succeed in them.  Richmond college is ready to take on the season. Richmond has played 7 games this season. They won 5 matches against Kingswood, St.Thomas College Mt Lavinia, Maliyadawa College & Dharmashoka College. 

Over the past century in cricket, Richmond College won against top schools like St.Thomas College and Ananda College. And they won the President’s trophy 2012. They also had the distinction of taking the Bata – Sunday Times all Island runner’s up trophy in 2011-1012.

If there is any person who deserves credit for the team’s progress and its achievements, it is the coach. Dhammika Sudarshana is one of the best players Richmond College has produced and stands to serve his school and team; it was this gentleman’s inspiration that took the team to the place where it stands in the present day. He has gained valuable experience playing for the clubs Moors CC, Galle CC and has represented Sri Lanka A

To lead a team in cricketing season requires a whole deal of dedication leadership.  The fourth year player Hasith Madushan will be leading the Richmond cricket team this season. A versatile top order batsman and right arm off spinner, he showcases qualities of a great personality in and off the field. Scored 61 Runs against Ananda College and that was his Highest scored Runs in 2012/13 season

A.k.Tyron and Banuka Madupriya are the two coloursmen of the side. One of the teams most valued possessions would be their spin bowler A.k.Tyron who took 87 wickets in 2011-2012. He bowls right-arm off spin and ripped through the Ananda College batting taking 10 wickets for 46 runs which is his best bowling performance. Banuka Madupriya, is a third year player who is a left arm spinner and his tally is 48 wickets in 2011-2012.  The teams looks upon them to deliver at crucial moments.
