The Redeem Premier League (RPL) organized by the Redeem App was held at S. De. S. Jayasinghe grounds in Dehiwela on Saturday, the 19th of September 2020.

There were more than 100+ teams who inquired to be a part of the tournament but only the first 16 teams who completed the registration got the opportunity to participate. It was a fun-filled festive environment in Dehiwela as the heated tournament saw some exciting cricket all day.

The tournament was played for a cash price of Rs.50,000/- rupees and several other events and games were organized during the day.
Not just the players in the tournament but even their friends and family enjoyed the day with some exciting cricket and entertainment.
The games were played on a knockout basis and two fearsome teams, Team Arangala and Colombo United advanced to the finals.
Batting first, Team Arangala posted 63 runs in their allotted 5 overs thanks to some power-packed hitting by the skipper Dinusha Sampath.
The game went on to the wire as Colombo United fell just 6 runs short at the end of their 5 overs.
Experienced left-arm speedster Indika Aponso was adjudged the best bowler of the tournament while Dinusha Sampath was the star with the bat being awarded as the best batsman.
World Cup-winning Sri Lankan captain Arjuna Ranathunga as the chief guest of the event.
