Sri Lanka’s top squash title holder, Mihiliya Methsarani met usual opponent Fathoum Issadeen in the finals of the Women’s Open and it was the 6-time national champion that got the better out of Issadeen winning the finals 11/1, 11/8 & 11/2.
In similar fashion, it was Ravindu Laksiri who came back to his usual form defeating Shamil Wakeel in the Men’s Open final as he won the title with scores reading 11/7, 11/7 & 11/4. It was easy going for the former D. S. Senanayake player against Shamil Wakeel to take the silverware.
