The former Peterite hooker who joined the CR & FC squad during the pre-season this year has been headhunted by the club in Maitland Place and is set to play in the week 5 clash for the club against Police Sports Club. Since Yapa has not been included in any of this year’s games, his move to CH & FC was acknowledged by the CR & FC management.
Ravin Yapa was known for his ball-carrying abilities during his schoolboy career in the St. Peter’s shirt and his lineout throws were impressive in the 2016 Schools’ Rugby League.
CH & FC have depended on a schoolboy recruit, Antonian Pulasthi Dissanayake this season for their lineouts and with the addition of Yapa to the side, CH will have a second option when it comes to the hooker position.
