Bangladesh spin bowling coach Rangana Herath has tested positive for Covid-19 in New Zealand.
Herath is currently with the Bangladesh team touring New Zealand for a 2-match Test series.

All the players and staff members of the team had undergone Covid-19 tests today, conducted for the third time during this tour so far.
Nine members of the Bangladesh contingent, both players and support staff, are currently undergoing extended quarantine period as they were in close contact with a covid-19 patient who had been flying with them on a flight from Malaysia to New Zealand.

Bangladesh is set to play two Tests against New Zealand in which the first Test is scheduled to begin on 1st January at Mount Manganui.
