A brilliant all round performance from Ramesh Mendis spearheaded Dharmasoka College Ambalangoda to a rousing innings and 287 runs outright victory over Revata MV Balapitiya in their inter school under 19 cricket  match which concluded at the Surrey grounds in Maggona today.

The former Sri Lanka youth player after his magnificent unbeaten double hundred in the first innings of the match produced a splendid bowling spell to skittle out the opposition for just 83 runs in the second innings and to wrap  the game with more than a session to spare.

Revata MV who were trailing by 370 runs on the first innings failed to put up any kind of resistance in the second innings as well and folded up in just 26 over with Ramesh Mendis returning outstanding bowling figures of six wickets for 14 runs.

Mendis who went wicketless in the first innings of the game really made amends by running through the Revata MV batting in the second innings almost single handedly with the back up support coming from Ushan Nimantha who finished with a matchbag of six wickets.
