MAS Unichela suffered a major setback in the 25th Singer-MCA Premier League when LB Finance ended their unbeaten run with a comprehensive 5-wicket win at De Soysa Stadium in Moratuwa today.

MAS Unichela led by TM Dilshan had already secured the League title coming into this game but the less-fancied LB Finance outfit captained by Lakshan Rodrigo turned the tables around to dent the star-studded MAS Unicheld outfit.
After opting to bat first, MAS Unichela innings got off to a rollicking start with TM Sampath smashing boundaries at will but experienced Isuru Udana dismissed dangerous Ramith Rambukwella and Mahela Udawatte.
The strong MAS Unichela middle order comprising, Dilshan, Chamara Silva, Farveez Maharoof and Chathuranga De Silva had no answer to the LB Finance spinners led by off-break bowler Rajeewa Weerasinghe as they were dismantled for just 135 runs in 31 overs. Sampath made a fine 70-ball 57 with 7 fours and 2 sixes while Weerasinghe grabbed 3 scalps for just 24 runs off his 6 overs.
In reply, LB Finance chase was hampered early by the canny off-spin of TM Dilshan but a responsible, counter-attacking 61-ball knock of 65 by Priyamal Perera which had 5 fours and 4 sixes took LB Finance to a bonus-point securing win.
