Persistent rain washed out most of the play on day 1 of the warm-up game between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh Board XI, which commenced today (10th May) at BKSP Ground-3 in Dhaka.
Sri Lanka Skipper Dimuth Karunaratne won the toss and chose to bat first. Karunaratne and Oshada Fernando opened the innings for the visiting team but the former didn’t last long at the crease as he departed for just 2 runs in the 6th over of the innings.
Fernando and Kusal Mendis joined at the crease and batted for another 2.3 overs before rain came down and washed out the rest of the day’s play.
