Prince of College took on Mahanama College at the Mahanama home grounds in Katunayake. The match concluded today with a resounding victory to Prince of Wales College.
Prince of Wales College continued their first innings and managed to achieve a massive score of 270 runs for a loss of 8 wickets in 61 overs. Shanuka Dulaj was brilliant in his batting and scored 93 runs while Janeesha Fernando and Sachith Pushpakumara scored an unbeaten 48 and 24 runs respectively. Also adding to the score was Krishane Aponso (19) and Hasitha Lanka (47)
Dinuka Chamath bowled well to scalp 3 wickets of POW with Nayana Prabhath chipping in with 2 wickets.
Mahanama College in their second innings managed a score of 111 all out to the opposition spin attack in 39.1 overs. Sunudhdhi Kaushalya was unbeaten on 32 runs while Pawan Devinda scored 26 and Kalindu Lakshan 22. Shanuka Dulaj wrecked the opposition bagging 4/26 and Thilan Nimesh aided him well taking 3/45.
In their second innings Prince of Wales College who had a target on 31 runs scored 30 runs while the scoreboard read 9.4 overs for a loss of 2 wickets winning by a margin of 8 wickets.
