Wrapping the Airmen for just 96 runs in the first innings, Galle CC made 275 runs for their first inning on the back of a brilliant century by the left-hander Vinura Dulsara (101). Jacob Sachin (35) & Saranga Rajaguru (32) chipped in with 30s, while Aravinda Premaratne bagged a five-for for the Airmen. Left-arm spinner Kavika Dilshan, who was the pick of the bowlers with 3 wickets in the first inning, picked a five-wicket haul in the second inning, completing a match bag of 8 for 94. Air Force Sports Club eventually became all out for 159 runs in their second inning, handing a win by an inning and 20 runs for Galle CC.

Navy SC’s 300 runs for their first inning was enough to secure an innings win, as the Kandy Customs were still 65 runs short after batting both innings. Savindu Peiris, who picked 5 wicket hauls in both innings, ended with match figures of 10 for 74. Dilanka Auwardt picked 4 for 21 in the first inning and Nilanka Sandakan picked 5 for 64 in the second inning. 50s from Tharushan Iddamalgoda (65), Supun Leelarathna (62) and Shalith Fernando (58) helped Navy SC to cruise to 300 runs for their first inning.

The Sebastianites, who made a modest 121 for the first inning, were challenged with a lead of 117 runs after Panadura SC made 238 runs for their first inning. Umesh Karunaratne top-scored with 56 runs, while Naveen Gunawardena & Kumar Boresa picked 4 wicket apiece. Chalana De Silva, who impressed with a Five-for in the first inning, picked up another 4 scalps for Panadura and managed to limit the Sebs to 211 runs in their second inning. Azhar Attari joined the party with his seam ups to claim 5/27 for Panadura, while Kiran Joshi made a standout 59 for Sebastianites CAC. Given a target of 100 runs, Minhaj Jaleel’s unbeaten 58 guided Panadura across the line with 7 wickets in hand.
