Anthony Martial (Manchester United)
It looks as if Man United has turned a corner with a 2-2 draw against unbeaten Chelsea. 2 goals from Anthony Martial almost gave the win to United after going a goal down. Even though he didn’t play the full 90 minutes Martial looked to be coming into form.
Ozil led the fight back from Arsenal as they beat Leicester City 3-1 at the Emirates. He scored the first goal and had a hand in both goals from Piere-Emerick Aubamayang. With this win Arsenal reach the top 4 of the table.
Another sublime performance in defense by the Englishman. The initial through ball to unlock the Huddersfield defense was key to the goal scored by Mohamed Salah. With this win Liverpool maintain their unbeaten record and are equal on points with Man City.
Riyad Mahrez (Manchester City)
Mahrez, who missed a late penalty at Anfield last time out, was in irrepressible form. With 96 touches, he saw more of the ball than any other player, and capped a fine display with a brilliant goal. City thrashed Burnley 5-0 and has scored 10 more goals than second place Liverpool.
The winger was in electrifying form, beating Fulham defenders regularly and scoring a fine goal to set up Cardiff’s victory. Cardiff City got their first 3 points of the season with this resounding 4-2 win over Fulham.
Watford midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure provided the assists for both his side’s goals, was impressive in the air and had an 87.4% pass success rate as the Hornets beat the high riding Wolves by 2 goals to 0.
