Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola said Sergio Aguero is in the best condition he has seen him in, after the striker scored a superb hat-trick in a thumping 6-1 win over Huddersfield. Aguero opened the scoring in the first half before adding two goals after the break to complete his 13th career hat-trick and ninth in the Premier League. Only Alan Shearer, with 11, has scored more in the competition.
Marcos Alonso’s late strike settled a chaotic Premier League classic in Chelsea’s favor after Arsenal fought back from two goals down to win 3-2. A goal and an assist for the opening goal from the Spaniard ensured Sarri had two out of two.
Liverpool were comfortable winners 2-0 over Crystal Palace in the only game on Monday night. Virgil van Dijk was impressive at the back for Liverpool, making a game-high eight clearances and completing 73 of his 79 passes. Liverpool looked solid at the back with van Dijk leading the way.
Captain Troy Deeney worked tirelessly for his team, assisting Andre Gray’s opener before scoring his first Watford goal since March. Beating Burnley 1-3 at Turf Moor is a great boost for Watford who currently lie in 3rd on the Table.
Cardiff City goalkeeper Neil Etheridge saved an injury-time penalty from 10-man Newcastle United’s Kennedy, as the newly promoted hosts earned a first point of the Premier League season in dramatic fashion. This is the second successive penalty save this season in as many matches. His save ensured that both teams walked away with a point.
