29 national cricketers including the 21 players who toured England have signed tour contracts for the upcoming series against India, a SLC media release said.

Sri Lanka Cricket wishes to announce that 29 players, out of the 30 members nominated by the Cricket Selectors to be considered for the White-Ball Series against India, have signed the Tour Contract.

Angelo Mathews, who was included in the respective 30-member squad, requested Sri Lanka Cricket to relieve him from National Duties, owing to personal reasons, until further notice.

The team led by Kusal Perera returned home on Tuesday evening (6th July) and entered the bio-bubble at Taj Samudra Hotel. The team went on the tour of England and Wales without having signed the annual contracts or the tour contracts due to them feeling that there was no transparency in the awarding of points in the SLC Annual Player Contracts for 2021/2022.
