St. Joseph’s College boys and Lyceum Wattala girls became overall champions at the Pentathlon Swimming Championships 2024 organized by the Sri Lanka Aquatic Sports Union. The 3-day event started on the 07th of July and concluded last Sunday evening.
Josephians recorded back-to-back win taking the overall men’s championship home with 44 total points while Peterites became runners-up with 29 total points. The Lyceum International School- Wattala won the women’s overall championship with 24 total points and the Ladies College finished 2nd in line with 20 points.
The Pentathlon Swimming Championships is an event, where the fastest swimmers from 5 events including all four strokes and the individual medley are crowned.
Accordingly, the event acknowledged 12 age group champions.

- Girls – K.K. Dilushi Dilhara from Lyceum International School, Wattala
- Boys – A.I.M. Haathim from St. Peters’s College

- Girls – Chanudi Kumarapperuma from Lyceum International School, Nugegoda
- Boys – Okitha Gunasekara from Elizabeth Moir International School

- Girls – Dinali Karunadasa from Visakha Vidyalaya
- Boys – Shaqib Riyaj from D.S. Senanayake College
