Sri Lanka opening batter Pathum Nissanka has been ruled out of the ODI series against Zimbabwe, which will begin tomorrow (6th January) at R. Premadasa Stadium.

Nissanka has been admitted to the hospital with a suspected Dengue infection. Accordingly, he will be admitted for further management and will be out of the ODI series against Zimbabwe.
National selectors have included the 19-year old dashing opening batter Shevon Daniel in the ODI squad in place of Nissanka.

The 3-match ODI series will be played from 6th January to 11th January at R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium. All the matches will be played as Day/Night encounters.
