Sri Lanka batter Pathum Nissanka is a doubtful starter for the second Test match against India which starts on the 12th March in Bangalore due to a back injury.
Nissanka, who batted at number 3 in the opening Test match made scores of 61* and 6 as India thumped Sri Lanka by an innings and 222 runs in Mohali.

Nissanka if deemed unfit will be replaced by Kusal Mendis, who is set to play his first Test match since returning to the team after serving a ban for the Durham bio-bubble debacle.
Nissanka is the second injury concern for Sri Lanka from the 1st Test. Lahiru Kumara picked up a hamstring injury in the first Test match and has been ruled out of selection for the pink-ball Test match.
