Army SC ended the day on 199/5 with Lakshan Edirisinghe making a fighting 84 at the top of the order while in-form batsman Dushan Vimukthi made 71.

Badureliya batted for 72 overs as Alankara Asanka – promoted to open – also made a useful 41 while Tatenda Taibu chipped in with 39.
Dhammika Prasad – the top Test bowler in 2015 for SL – bowled a lively spell to capture 2/30 while Sachitra Senanayake also picked up two wicket for SSC.
