Chamika Gunasekara stars for Sri Lanka A as Pakistan A ended day 1 on 180 for 4 in the 2nd unofficial Test of Pakistan Shaheens’ tour to Sri Lanka.

Pakistan A Playing XI: Saud Shakeel (C), Abdullah Shafique, Omair Yousuf, Kamran Ghulam, Usman Salahuddin, Agha Salman, Naseem Shah, Khurram Shahzad, Mohammad Haris, Ahmed Safi Abdullah, Arshad Iqbal.
Pakistan A opted to bat first after winning the toss. They had a good passage of play early on before losing a couple of quick wickets to the Lankan seamers, Chamika Gunasekara and Himesh Ramanayake.
Opener Abdullah Shafique and No.4 batter Kamran Ghulam then joined at the centre to lift Pakistan Shaheens with a 78-run stand for the 3rd wicket.
Gunasekara struck once again sending Ghulam back into the hut with a well-made 45 runs to his name. The 21-year-old speedster was on roll as he managed to pick up another quick wicket with his intimidating pace.
Shafique held on to an end and played a painstakingly patient inning of 89 runs.
The game was affected largely by rain and only saw 50 overs of play today.
The first unofficial Test of the tour came to a close as a draw on the 31st of October as the two teams will battle out the next 3 days to draw the first blood of the series.
