The Old Nalandians’ Silver Committee which consists of 8 age groups from 2000 to 2007 under the guidance of Nalanda College Old Boys’ Association – the legitimate old boys’ association of Nalanda College plans to organize the above as tribute to their brother and friend maestro Mahela Jayawardena at his farewell test match.
Jayawardena is one of the elite Sri Lankan cricketers, considered as one of the magnets in the international arena and most of all one of the best paragons of Mother Nalanda. Nalanda is gathering their numbers to honour him and bestow on him a supreme send-off befitting such a worthy gentleman at the final test match of his career at the SSC grounds on 14th – 18th August.
A Spectator Stand has been organised at the SSC exclusively for all Nalandians including present and old Nalandians, past Principals, Masters-in-Charge and teachers at the ground during all 5 days. (Tokyo Cement Stand – Entrance from SSC main Gate)
All Nalandians are hereby invited to come and pay your gratitude and salute their most famous son on the verge of ending is illustrious career.
