The first day of the Novices Swimming and Diving Championship 2019 kicked off with the juniors taking center stage, at the Sugathadasa Indoor Swimming Complex.

With over 2000 swimmers participating in the 3-day meet, the under 11, 13 and 15 girls and boys started things off with the Free, Breast and Backstroke events in the 50m and 200m courses.
