The player draft for the Lanka Premier League 2021 concluded with some interesting picks and a number of surprising omissions on the 9th of November.
Sri Lanka’s premier T20 League will take place without the immediate past captain, Kusal Perera, the vice-captain named for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 Dhananjaya De Silva, and a couple of the most senior active cricketers in the country including Angelo Mathews and Dinesh Chandimal.
Other notable omissions include Minod Bhanuka, Sandun Weerakkody, Praveen Jayawickrama, Sadeera Samarawickrama, Vishwa Fernando, Sahan Arachchige, Akila Dananjaya, Kasun Rajitha and Oshawa Fernando.
