Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has announced the new junior national selection committee to oversee the junior level cricket selections in the island.
Former Sri Lankan fast bowler Vinothen John has been named as the chairman of the newly appointed five-member selection committee.
Former national cricketer Hasantha Fernando and former first-class cricketers Varuna Waragoda, Duminda Wickramasinghe and Shane Fernando will be the other members of the committee.
However, the new selection committee is expected to assume duties post the upcoming ICC Men’s U19 World Cup 2024 which will be held in South Africa this month.
