Ahead of the Dialog Rugby League that will kick off on the 7th of November 2018, the Navy Sports Club team will be making it to Doha in Qatar to meet the Doha Rugby Football Club for a friendly.
The runners-up from the Dialog Rugby League last year will be desperate to go one up this season and the fixture against Doha RFC will be a timely prep ahead of the League.
Last week, it was CH & FC that travelled to Qatar for a friendly against Doha and the team led by Yoshitha Rajapakse clinched a 17-15 victory thanks largely to the kicking of Samuel Maduwantha.

The Doha RFC team who do not currently play in the West Asia Premiership due to the political conflict in the Gulf region will be ready to host their second Lankan team this month when they play them at the Doha Rugby Centre on Friday 19th October.
The new look Navy side led by the experienced Thilina Weerasinghe will be looking at making it count and repeat CH’s feat in the middle east.
The Sailors will be led by Thilina Weerasinghe, the highest points scorer for the past two DRL seasons and will have the fresh faces of Radeesha Seneviratne, who makes it to Navy after stints at Police and Air Force, former St. Joseph’s and Havelock cap Gihan Perera and Sri Lanka U20 7’s cap Chathura Seneviratne in their ranks.
The team is coached by Mothilal Jayathilake and assisted by Dev Anand.
