Mahinda College managed to register a 7-wicket victory over Maris Stella College in their Group A fixture which was worked off today at the Mahinda College Grounds in Galle.

Sri Lanka U19 cap, Navod Paranavithana starred with both bat and ball for the hosts, scoring a valuable 79 runs with the bat and picking up 5 wickets in the match.

The traditional fixture between St. Joseph’s College and St. Anthony’s College played for the ‘Murali-Vaas Trophy’ commenced today at the St. Anthony’s College Grounds in Kandy. After being put in to bat, the visitors posted 213 runs as Johanne de Zilva top scored with a knock of 59 runs. Nimnaka Jayathilaka picked up 5 wickets for 66 runs for the hosts. In reply, the hosts posted 119 runs for 3 wickets at close of play on day one.
