The third week’s matches of the National Super League 4-Day Tournament 2025 commenced today (27th March) at Dambulla and Colombo (RPS).

The wicket-keeper batter Kusal Mendis struck his 19th first-class century representing Team Colombo in their third game of the tournament against Team Dambulla.

Having won the toss, Team Colombo opted to bat first and posted 300 runs for 9 wickets at the close of play at Dambulla International Cricket Stadium.

Mendis top scored with a knock of 119 runs off 123 balls with 12 fours and 2 sixes while the off-spinner Akila Dananjaya became the pick of the bowlers for Team Dambulla with figures of 3/91.

In the other encounter played between Team Jaffna and Team Kandy, the former was bundled out for 201 runs as the seamer Chamindu Wickramasinghe ripped through their batting unit, snaring 5 wickets for 54 runs.

However, the opening batter Ravindu Rasantha managed to put up a lone fight for Team Jaffna, scoring vital 97 runs. In reply, Team Kandy made 67 runs for 1 wicket at stumps on Day 1.
