The first week’s matches of National Super League 4-Day Tournament 2025 ended today (16th March) at Hambantota and Galle.

The first match of the tournament played between Team Galle and Team Kandy ended in a draw at Mahinda Rajapaksha International Cricket Stadium, Hambantota.

Team Galle began their second innings with a massive lead of 252 runs and posted 269 runs for 5 wickets at the close of play on final day. The skipper Pasindu Sooriyabandara starred with a superb century while Nipun Dhananjaya and Sadeera Samarawickrama chipped in vital half-centuries.

Team Colombo managed to register an 87-run win over Team Jaffna in the second match of National Super League 4-Day tournament 2025 played at Galle International Cricket Stadium.

Chasing a mammoth target of 454 runs to win, Team Jaffna were bowled out for 366 runs after putting on a fighting batting effort in the second innings.

Ravindu Rasantha stood out with a sensational century while Shevon Daniel, Anjala Bandara and Chamika Karunaratne also showed excellent resistance with fighting fifties.

Muditha Lakshan was the pick of the bowlers for Team Colombo as he grabbed 4 wickets for 84 runs.
