The final of National Super League 4-Day Tournament 2023/24 between Team Kandy and Team Galle continued for Day 2 (1st May) at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium.
Team Kandy resumed their first innings at 279/8 on Day 2 and added 37 more runs to the total before they were eventually bowled out for 316. No. 8 batter Ashian Daniel reached his maiden half-century in first-class cricket.

In reply, Team Galle posted 247 runs for 8 wickets at the close of play on Day 2. The skipper, Ramesh Mendis, was the chief contributor with the bat as he made an unbeaten 79 runs off 118 balls with 6 fours.
The seamer Nimsara Atharagalla shone with the ball, taking 3 wickets, while Sithum Disanayaka and Lasith Embuldeniya bagged 2 wickets each for Team Kandy.
