The tenth week’s matches of National Super League 4-Day Tournament 2023/24 commenced today (23rd April) at Dambulla and Pallekele.
Former Sri Lanka Test skipper Dimuth Karunaratne stroked a fine half-century as Team Colombo made 296 runs on the board for their first innings against Team Galle at Dambulla International Cricket Stadium.
Asanka Manoj, Dhananjaya Lakshan and Ramesh Mendis impressed with the ball for Team Galle sharing 7 wickets between them. In reply, Team Galle were 3 runs for 1 wicket at stumps on Day 1.
Ranesh Silva’s brilliant century helped Team Dambulla post a solid first innings total on Day 1 of their encounter against Team Jaffna at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium.
After winning the toss, Dambulla skipper Sonal Dinusha opted to bat first and they managed to post 263/5 at the close of play on Day 1. Silva stroked 100 runs off 176 balls with 9 fours while the opening batter Sanoj Darshika contributed with 69 runs.
