The eighth week’s matches of the National Super League 4-Day Tournament 2023/24 commenced today (28th March) at Galle and Colombo (RPICS).
The fifteenth match of the tournament between Team Galle and Team Dambulla commenced today at Galle International Cricket Stadium.

After being put into bat first, Galle posted 286/5 on the first day on the back of fine half-centuries by Vishad Randika and Pasindu Sooriyabandara. Randika stroked an unbeaten 89 runs off 142 balls with 8 fours, while Sooriyabandara hit 83 runs off 192 balls with 4 fours.
Team Colombo and Team Kandy locked horns in the sixteenth match of the tournament at R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium.

Having been asked to bat first, Colombo put on a formidable score on the board on Day 1, thanks to Dasun Shanaka’s brilliant century. Shanaka scored 110 runs off 138 balls with 14 fours to put his side in a dominant position at the end of the first day’s play.
