Sri Lanka Cricket have announced the squad for the first leg of the One Day Series against South Africa.
Despite his poor form, Dinesh Chandimal has been named Captain for the first two games due to Angelo Mathews’ suspension. Lahiru Thirimanne has been named his deputy.
Angelo Perera, Jehan Mubarak and Thisara Perera who made significant contributions in the only warm up game so far have earned call ups while Dilshan, who missed the West Indies Tour due to injury, has also been named in the 15 man squad. Nuwan Kulasekera has not been deemed fit enough to take part, while Kusal Perera and Jeevan Mendis have been dropped following a string of disappointing performances.
