The National Road Cycling Championship was successfully concluded on the 17th of December at Puttalam Area.
Chamod de Silva from Gampaha District won the Men’s title of the National Road Cycling Championship in 3:40.24 hours. Niran Pasindu (Gampaha) and Ashen Tharula (Gampaha) won the 2nd and 3rd places respectively.

The women’s race, which was held in parallel to the men’s race, was won by Dinesh Dilrukshi from Puttalam, who completed the race in 1:20:14 hours. Panchali Sulochan (Gampaha) won the 2nd place, while Anne Shenali (Gampaha) secured the 3rd place.

44 racers participated in the Men’s event, which was 150.5 km in distance, while 23 racers participated in the Women’s event, which covered a total distance of 45.2 kilometres.
