Roshan Dammika made a stunning comeback to the track with a National Record in the Men’s hurdles while Amasha De Silva ran a personal best in the Women’s 200m. All this and more at the National Athletics Championship, stage 2, today (30) at the Sugathadasa Stadium.
The long-distance events, 200, 1500m, Hurdles and the field events took place on day 1, with 1 National record coming in the Men’s 110m Hurdles event by Roshan Dammika Dammika, who broke the 24-year-old record in the heats (13:97sec) then later beat his own time, with 13:89sec in the final to claim the title.
