The inter school under 19 cricket encounter between Nalanda College And St. Sylvester College which commenced yesterday concluded today at Thurstan grounds.
Nalanda College who gave a superb batting performance scoring 191 runs yesterday, ran through the opposition today to have St Sylvesters all out in 66.1 overs for 103 runs. Hansamal Perera and Sumeda Dissanayake representing Sylvesters fought hard to score 28 and 26 runs respectively. Kusal Dias and Daham Ranwalage kept the opposition in check taking 3 wickets each while Malinga De Silva added his might taking 2.
Nalanda College played an unbeaten 7 overs to secure 38 runs in the 2nd innings. The inter school cricket match was concluded with Nalanda taking the 1st innings.
