Ananda College and Richmond College beat St. Peters and Polonnaruwa Combine Schools respectively to advance in to the final of the Murali Harmony cup.
Ananda College came up against cup favourites St.Peters College in the first semi final of the day.
Winning the toss and electing to bat Ananda College lost opener Lakkana Jayasekera early in the piece for just 9 runs as the Ananda score read 1-11 in 2.3 overs.
A well composed knock of 42 from Shammu Ashan and a quick 25 from Nisal Francisco lead Ananda to a respectable 134/8 in their allotted 20 overs.
Thaneesha Weerakoon was the pick of the bowlers for St. Peters College as he picked 2 for 26 in 4 overs.

St. Peters College did not begin well as they lost opener Dinith Timidya in the first ball of their chase. The Bambalapitiya lads could never manage to kick start their innings as regular wickets halted their progress.
Sachin Dalpadhadu scored 21 run but it was all little too late as the regular wicket fall stopped St. Peters College from getting to their target of 135.

Richmond College took on Polonnaruwa Combined Schools in the second semi final of the day.
Winning the toss and batting Richmond College did not get off to the best start as opener Charith Asalanka was dismissed in the third over of the game for just 5 runs.
From then on it was the Sithara Gimhan show as he scored 68 valuable runs to propel Richmond College to a massive 149 runs in their 20 overs.

Polonnaruwa Combined Schools began cautiously and hence never managed to kick start their innings.
Only three batsmen for Polonnaruwa Combined Schools reached double figures and the rest slumped to single figure scores.
Polonnaruwa Combined were all out in the 19th over of the game as Richmond recorded a massive win and with it passage into the final.
