Wiaan Mulder, the all-rounder, has been added to South Africa’s squad for the fifth and final ODI versus Pakistan at Newlands, on January 30 (Wednesday).
Mulder, who plays for Lions in domestic cricket, hasn’t represented South Africa in ODIs since the 50-over game against Zimbabwe in September last year. The 20-year-old has accrued 57 runs and picked up seven wickets in the ODI format. He has also notched up 335 runs at an average of 22.23 and snared 24 scalps in List A games.
South Africa had also picked Beuran Hendricks, the left-arm pacer, Dale Steyn and Quinton de Kock in the ODI squad in place of Duanne Olivier, Dane Paterson and Heinrich Klaasen after the second game in Durban. The visitors thrashed South Africa by eight wickets in the fourth ODI at the Wanderers to tie the five-match series 2-2.
