Moors Sports Club after a grueling battle with all the top clubs in the Premier League tournament earned itself a birth in the final against the Sinhalese Sports Club this weekend. The designated venue is the SSC.
The authorities of Moors Sports Club have naturally protested about the venue requesting for a neutral venue with the SSC being home grounds for their opposition would gain un-due advantage. While this is a valid request, the organisers have had to decline the venue change which they state was conveyed to all clubs and at the beginning of tournament. Initially it was to be at the R Premadasa International Cricket Stadium which was handed over for the Red Bull Campus Cricket finals.
A grand show-down is expected between the two premier clubs with SSC having beaten Tami Union and Moors Panadura SC to get to the final.
