Mobitel absolutely smashed Singer Sri Lanka beating the latter by 94 runs while MAS recorded their first win beating Hayleys by 84 runs in the MCA Division B tournament.

Winning the toss, Singer Sri Lanka elected to field 1st. Lahiru Jayakody (113) along with Dineth Thimodya (102) schooled the Singer bowling thumping them all around the park, setting a target of 341 in 50 overs. Ron Chandraguptha got into the act as he too managed a sweltering 57 off 37 deliveries.
Andrew Parys (3/28) and Koshan Jayawickrama (3/51) made sure that Singer never got an opportunity to get themselves into the game as they were eventually bowled out for 246 in 47.5 overs. Rajitha Priyan made an unbeaten 60 as he spearheaded the Singer challenge as they fell short by 95 runs. Imal Liyanage scored a quick 57 off 55 in a losing cause.

MAS Silueta vs Hayleys
Winning the toss and batting first MAS amassed a reasonable total of 256 for 6 in 50 overs. Angelo Emmanuel managed an unbeaten century (100 off 102 balls) as he commanded the Hayleys bowling. Kaveen Silva scored an unbeaten better than a run-a-ball 76 as they pair helped MAS to their total.
Hayleys made a mess out of their chase and was in disarray on 115 for 6 at one stage. Off-spinner Kaushalya Gajasinghe (4/26) eventually spun Hayleys out in the 47th over to hand MAS a resounding 84 run victory.
