Sri Lankan batter Kusal Mendis and off spinner Maheesh Theekshana are doubtful for the first T20I against India.
Mendis and Theekshana sustained hamstring injuries during the final T20I against Australia and both are yet to be declared fit for the start of the Indian series.
Speaking to the media ahead of the first T20I, skipper Dasun Shanaka confirmed that both Mendis and Theekshana are carrying minor injuries and awaiting results of MRI scans done before taking a final decision on their availability for the first T20I against India in Lucknow tomorrow.
The 3-match T20I series between Sri Lanka and India will be played from 24th to 27th February in Lucknow and Dharmasala.
