Hayleys crowned champions of the 20th David Pieris Group of Companies sponsored, “DPGC” Challenge Trophy – MCA “E” Division 25 Over League Tournament 2023.
Hayleys who remained unbeaten throughout the tournament defeated Stafford Motors by 3 runs in the final worked-off at the MCA Grounds.
Batting first Hayleys Group managed to post 154/7 in the allotted 25 overs. Sandaru Kulugalage (27), Mahesh Deepal (27), Mihindi Ariyaratne (22) and Maduranga Zoysa (20) came up with useful contributions with the bat for the victorious Hayleys Group.

In reply, Stafford Motors came very close to pulling off the win scoring 151 runs but fell short by just 3 runs of the target. Pavith Ratnayake was outstanding with the ball for Hayleys as he managed to claim 5 wickets for 22 runs.
