The tournament was halted due to the pandemic since 14th of March and re-commenced on the 15th of August for the climax.
Eagle Logistics won the toss and chose to put runs on board first. They posted 144 runs in their allotted 25 overs for the loss of 7 wickets. Left-hander Dineth Thimodya was the highest scorer for Eagle Logistics with a fine half-century. He made 52 runs in 65 balls while Dulaj Egodage struck another valuable 44 runs.
Chasing a moderate target of 145 runs, Allianz Insurance got off to a faulty start as they lost their opener, Charinda Fernando, in just the second ball. It was never an improving scale for Allianz thereafter as they eventually perished for just 96 runs falling well short of the target.
