Though Bangladesh won’t be able to qualify for the final tournament they finished with two wins, one draw and one loss. They drew with Tajikistan 0-0 while winning 1-0 against Maldives. An injury time own goal by Bangladesh allowed Uzbekistan to win 1-0.

Sri Lanka on the other hand drew 2-2 against Maldives but suffered heavy 10-0 and 6-0 losses against Uzbekistan and Tajikistan respectively.

Bishwanath Ghosh gave Bangladesh the lead in the 13th minute and in the 33rd minute Riyadul Hasan made it 2-0. Mahbubur Rahman scored the 3rd five minutes later.
Bangladesh made it 4-0 with a first half injury time goal from Rahman.
